Lore / Geschichte
- Among the first hunters, all students of Gehrman, was the lady hunter Maria. She is distantly related to the Undead Queen, but had great admiration for Gehrman, unaware of his curious mania.
- The Plain Doll, Gehrman's creation, is meant to resemble Lady Maria. Perhaps Gehrman built the doll for his longing of Maria
- After killing her The Plain Doll gives an additional line of dialogue to the player:
"Good hunter, this may sound strange, but... Have I somehow changed? Moments ago, from some place, perhaps deep within, I sensed a liberation from heavy shackles. Not that I would know... How passing strange..."

Strategie & Tipps
Allgemeine Tipps
- Executioner Gloves stagger her nicely.Shoot two charges with the gloves, refill with blood bullets and shoot two more charges.You can use the stagger to get some hits in as well.
- Dodge to your left to avoid most of her attacks.
- It is possible to parry Maria through all her three phases, if the timing is right. It gets progressively harder to parry her for each new phase she enters.
- It is also possible to stagger her through all three phases.
- She can be easily moved to phase 3, even skipping phase 2, with 3-4 parry-strikes. After that you can kill her easily if you use old hunter bone to amplify your ability to dodge and spam her with fast R1 attacks whenever she finishes her combos.
- I found using the Amagdalan Arm quite effective, it has a very long reach so after a dodge you can almost always reach her, it doesn't use too much stamina either if used effectively. Also, don't dodge as much, many of her attacks can just sort of be walked around if your close enough to her.
- Starting from phase 2, Maria's melee blood attacks can parry the player. Heal cautiously.
